Role of teachers in nation building
We are
born into a world already evolved in time, polished by civilisation, shaped by
development.
We are
born into a world already marked by borders, stitched with divisions, coloured
by differences.
Yet the
modern age, for all its gleam, still drifts without the compass of life’s true
purpose.
We are
born into a world still reaching, still falling short of the treasure called
value.
In today’s
modern world, no one wants to be bound by things they do not desire. No matter
how deeply we value our wants, we tend to act in ways that bring us personal
satisfaction. With self-interest as the top priority, we often behave in ways
that benefit ourselves while ignoring the needs and impact on others.
Self-centeredness and personal gain have become the guiding forces of human
behaviour.
Ego,
pride, anger, and envy have polluted the essence of life. A life meant to have
meaning, to be shared, to wish the same happiness for others as we do for
ourselves. But that shared life has slowly transformed into one that only
serves the self. It no longer cares for other’s feelings or grants everyone an
equal chance at fulfilment.
We have
shifted from us to me, from ours to mine, from others to self. The world has
turned its focus inward, pursued personal benefit while turned a blind eye to
the emotional and environmental consequences. We’ve adopted a mindset of
ignorance and selfishness, leaving future generations to bear the weight of our
choices.
Blinded by
greed, ego, and envy, we’ve forgotten to think differently; to consider
ecological, ethical, and meaningful alternatives. We are constantly seeking
more, grasping at everything within our reach, and discarding what we don’t
value, regardless of the damage left behind.
The way we
think directly shapes our behaviour. And the possibility of change lies in
changing our mindset. Only by reshaping our thoughts can we reshape our
actions and perhaps, find a way back to a life that values not just ourselves,
but each other.
What can
one soul hope to mend in a world already polluted?
What can
one heart dare to wish for things yet come in a near future.
What can
one life strive to make others life feel more important.
Yet still,
one dream can rise and one light can lead the way through the darkened sky.
Sadden
not, for this world will still live on, and the brighter picture is yet to be
seen. This world, though now polluted, polluted by selfish thoughts and actions
can still be healed. It can be transformed, and it can once again be seen as
beautiful.
It’s in
our hands to take things seriously, to reflect, and to act. Even when one hand
feels full, burdened by all that the world demands, we can still choose to do
what is right. We can still act in a way that produces sweet fruit in the end.
We can still change the direction of this tide and sail toward a far better
future.
Hope is
what drives us in the search for something better. It lights the path toward
our own version of Neverland. It brings colour to the blurred and uncertain
nature of the world around us. It dares us to dream of things not yet seen. But
this process takes time, and we must be patient. We need to look at life from a
broader perspective. We must learn to hold back our desire to get everything
done quickly. Like the coconut tree, we need to grow slowly, steadily, with a
strong foundation. Our focus should be on building a solid path for future
generations to walk on. We should be willing to sacrifice some of our own wants
so that the next generation can thrive. We must strive to live in a way that
produces results, not just for ourselves, but for those who will come after us.
He who
makes the nation great shoulders the weight of the future.
He who
makes the nation great envisions the prosperity yet to come.
He who
makes the nation great shapes the very geography of tomorrow.
He
shoulders it with care, envisions it with purpose, and shapes it with love.
It is
everyone's responsibility to contribute toward building a better world. Whether
it's on a small scale within a family or on a larger scale through the
influence of a public figure, every effort matters. Through the education we
receive, we grow and later, we give back. This is the true circle of success.
When the
mind is young and fresh, when the decisions are still unknowingly and when the thoughts
are still in their formative stage. What better way to bring change to the
world than through the influence of a teacher? A simple yet powerful teacher. Who
understands both what the nation needs and what it does not. A teacher who can
reshape a world in crisis and sow seeds today that will bloom into a better
tomorrow.
Education
alone is not enough. In fact, without moral grounding, education can become a
dangerous tool that can lead into harming rather than progress. True education
must be paired with ethical values. Together, they form the pillars of a
complete and compassionate human being. These seeds represent our beloved
future generation. The essential nourishment like education and moral values must
be provided through a well-structured and functional school system. If these
needs are neglected or the vision is lost, the result we once hoped for may no
longer hold value.
Excellence
can be achieved through the interdependent relationship between teacher and
student. One teaches through experience, knowledge, and research; while the
other learns with curiosity, questions, and reasoning. This cycle of learning by
doing, by thinking, and by understanding relies heavily on the behaviour,
dedication, and determination of that simple, yet remarkable, teacher.
Yes, a simple
teacher holds the power to shape a nation.

Beautiful and very well written..!! Keep up the good work. Happy birthday!!
