Report on educational excursion to Lucknow

Report on educational excursion

Lucknow is known as city of love. The people of Lucknow has great sense of understanding not only on based of our very facial difference but they have  a very good character of sharing the knowledge.

We started our excursion trip on 27th morning from Varanasi including two of the professor who's guidance took the responsibility for us ( B Sc B Ed 4th year)

The journey towards Lucknow was much anticipated as we took a long bus that comforted us very much

We entered the Lucknow city around 3:30 pm and on our first list, we went to BAL SANGRAHALAYA  ( centre of model display )

The main knowledge of this centre gave us the various model regarding the ecology and the science technology of making various model.

The centre was divided into few sections including the lifestyle of all the states of India and not only that but they also displayed many of the major countries and the stairway towards the second floor has many of the science based models.

Due to limitation of time for us, we were quickly tour round the centre and after that we took the bus onto the hostel were we were already managed to stay for a night by our two professors

The second day was the main day for excursion.

We rode our bus to two striking places that not only amazed us but also able to relate many of the knowledge that we saw and learned from these two places

Firstly, we stopped at The cytogenetic research and development

The lab seems small and congested but the researches they preform inside the lab has many eye striking instruments

The director of the cytogenetic centre introduced us the centre with every details about the instruments and their uses.

Few of them were related to our courses but many of the researches were even more interesting and gave us the light of learning and seeking more answers

Cytogenetic itself is very interesting to study about and the genetically mutations and its abbreviation.

After our first sight at cytogenetic centre, we rode towards THE REGIONAL SCIENCE CITY OF LUCKNOW.

We were able to make in time for the short 3D video of how global warming effected not only to us but to all the animal species around the world.

It was a great experience of watching the 3D short movie which enhance us the importance of maintaining our very own home. ( earth )

After the short 3D video, we were taken into the world of oceanic knowledge.

As vast as ocean, we were able to get many knowledge and information relating the various effects, it's nature , how and why, its species and the various field of studying with and about the oceans.

The campus itself has so many interesting scientific based playground that has a very strong scientific background.

Then we were guided towards the another block that includes many of the interesting topic of Indian people and their successful attribution.

After quick tour inside a building, we were guided outside into a prehistoric park

The park has so many interesting structures and information to gain.

Many of the prehistoric animals were modelled with perfect edges and a short note regarding its information were written aside of the models.

Our lunch was already organised by the centre itself and we collected our money for the lunch.

After a quick veg thali, we headed towards the another section of oceanic block where we entered into a dome structured. It was a 45mins short video of  Adrenaline Rush.

We were able to experience the adrenaline rush at the end of the short video.

After an interesting 45mins, we went back inside the oceanic block and the excursion guidance further introduced us the knowledge of stars astrology.

It was so interesting to encounter the astrology as we have to crawl inside a dome shaped tent which blocked the outside light.

The darkness slowly covered inside and we were able to see many bright shinning stars. We tried to learn few of the names of different star positions. We further asked few doubtful questions to the guide person and he very much pleased us with his answers.

Outside the oceanic block, there was few interesting structures.

The one that strikes me was a metallic globe that can be adjusted with the distance and angle to see a figure of Indian professor C.V RAMAN.

Another structure that took my eyes off was a huge water tap that has no inlet of water but the water flows down from the tap continuously. The inlet of the water should be within the flow of water which slightly covers with the transparency glasses. But with the force of water flowing down and the size of the glasses further doubted me about its pressure.

May be the transparency glasses has another smaller diameter inside it.

After a full tour inside the  science city, we stopped for a half an hour workshop. During a short workshop, we created a mini periscope with an A4 paper and two square mirrors. It's purposes was to enhance the knowledge of making teaching aid in our future practices.

We ended our two day excursion with a beautifully group picture taken along with the guide person.

He further invited us in the further for a by longer period of time for more teaching aid practicals modelling workshop.

The day ended around 5pm when we rode back inside the bus and header back to Varanasi.

After a long night journey, we reached safely at the college around 3am.

In the end, we would like to thank the centre, director, administration, and two professors for considering the importance of excursion for us and further we would like to request to take the future science students to Lucknow. THE REGIONAL SCIENCE CITY OF LUCKNOW has many more to learn and many more to look into.
